Christian Lacroix

Mediterranean , inquisitive and cultivated, Christian Lacroix has continually defended the world of fashion and design from the time he founded his “haute couture” House in 1987 and presented his first collection.

He rapidly became interested in ready-to-wear collections, modifying the “ new universal uniform” by embroidering and dying the fabric for his “jeans” collection. In 1994, he launched his “Bazar” collection, using an increasing number of folkloric and time period styles.

The Christian Lacroix homme collection has an assertive masculine character, inspired by themes that are very dear to the designer : his origins, with images of southern France, the Camargue region and the city of Arles as well as his artistic sensitivity, opera, design...

The pure lines, high quality fabrics and perfect finishing touch give the collections a designer spirit, combining elegance with a touch of humour and eccentricity.The collections reflect the designer’s style and personality : from bohemia and luxury, raw and cultivated to authentic and sophisticated.

Christian Lacroix boldly, yet moderately combines colourful and elegant whimsical styles and mixtures with a play on details and oppositions which are sometimes hidden, yet always surprising.
